Happy 1 Year

My Love,
Thank you for a wonderful year. We've had our days, but most of them have been wonderful. I love you so very much, you help me be a better person. Continuing to grow and progress together is so exciting. You are the love of my life, you ARE my life.

We have officially been married and lived in Tucson for a whole year! hooray!

Another Update

So, another update! I hope you all enjoy again!

I went to Utah for my own little vacation to see my best friend Erika Fenwick. It felt so good to see her and her family. It'd been way too long. It also felt good to feel that cool mountain air, visit the BYU campus again and shop in a state that has only a 6% sales tax rather than almost 9% :) Her two kids are growing like weeds. Cami is a mini of her mommy and Austin is hungry baby boy :)

While I was there, my 1 year anniversary came. Yes, I went on a vacation to Utah without my husband over our 1 year anniversary. Slap my wrists...I'm a bad wife. It ended up being okay. We called each other every night and promised we'd do something together when I got home. I did miss him very much though. Erika kept me busy though, or vice versa, so my attention was focused on other things.

I had a great time, it felt good to be with my girlfriend again, talk about things that only girls can talk about, like how we look in clothes, shoes and...men :) I came home very relaxed. It was a much needed vacation.

This cutie is Cami. She is modeling her chipmunk look with that food in her cheeks :)

My best friend was so thoughtful and made me an anniversary cake similar to the type of cake that my wedding cake was made of. Since I wasn't able to save my cake topper, she made a cake for me to eat on my anniversary. Erika you're the best! In the background of the cake picture you'll see the only picture I got of her baby Austin. He's a cutie!

Even after years of not living with each other, we still like to match or be opposites. in the picture on the bottom i'm really wearing pink but you can't really tell. We look like we're opposites. We did that on purpose (I think). Not much has changed with us. And that's the best part!

While visiting Erika I had the lucky opportunity to see my brother and his family. Holly's brother had a wedding reception so i went to crash the party. I got these wonderful pictures of my neices that are growing so big! It was fun to see them. It is a special occasion every time we see them because they live so far away :) Aren't these girls so cute!

When I got home from my vacation, my loving husband had these waiting for me on the table. My husband is so great! I love him so much!

We had the Andersen family come visit us from El Paso, Texas. They had gotten us tickets to the Gila Valley Temple open house so they came up Thursday and spent a few days with us. We swam, and played in the back yard, and toured Tucson, and had a wonderful trip to the temple. Thanks for coming up guys! We had a blast!

Cutest lil girl!

This boy and dirt go together like bread and jam (which he loves too)

Playing it up in the pool! And look, there is proof that I am actually IN the pool! :)

Playing with the ball; watch out Reve! Here comes Uncle J!

At the Gila Valley Temple. It was gorgeous and we had a very good time.

And afterwards, Reve decided to run through the sprinklers and become soaking wet! Good thing he had a change of clothes in the car!

It's About Time!

I have received many comments to update my blog and I certainly deserve them. However, when one feels like she lives at her job, and she does, it is a difficult thing to update a blog :) So I do apologize, but I also warn you, this will be an extensive update. So I hope you look over and like the whole thing!
And there will be more coming!!

Jordan was ordained an Elder at the end of March so we went up to Mesa to celebrate. The Saturday before my Dad, Jordo, James and I went and hiked a part of Superstition Mountain. It's the prettiest mountain in the valley in my opinion and I've wanted to do it since my family moved there. It was beautiful up there. We went early in the day when it was cooler and the whole mountain side was green and the view of the valley was gorgeous. It was about 500 or so feet up, about 3 miles long and took about 3 hours, including scenic stops, to do it. I had to take a few stops to rest - it'd been a while since I had hiked. But we all had a blast!

Hang on!

These guys are super cool :)

This was a neat shot

We celebrated Easter in El Paso, Texas with Jessica, Marshall, Reve and Lexi. It was so much fun. There was a large Easter egg hunt for the primary before the first session of General Conference. They also had some tastey goodness for breakfast there.

Lexi and Mom enjoying their breakfast

James is really loving his food. He's such a goober some times. But I love him!!

Hi Reve!

Dad and Lexi

Lexi was trying to help Uncle James take notes for General Conference

I played Mickey Mouse memory during the break. Reve totally beat me.

This is the stadium of UTEP. It's built right in the mountain. In the background you can see Mexico! Those mountains are Mexico.

More of the Stadium. If you look in the far background, that is Mexico.

This might be hard to see but in the picture above you can see two columns in the very center of the picture. Behind those two columns is solid rock. It's part of the mountain that the stadium is built into.

We did Easter Eggs of course! It's not Easter without the eggs!

Eggs-elent!!

We visited Mesa again in April for my little brother's birthday. This is my 19 year old brother now. He's ... really grown up ... yea :) ... We went mini-golfing for his birthday. My mom smoked us all! We then came back and hung out by the pool. My dad was still exhausted with being creamed by my mom in golf I guess :) It didn't take him long to be very comfortable and fall asleep spa side :)

And, our most recent addition to our house was a piano! We found it on craigslist and we love it! It is a 30 year old Baldwin and it is in fantastic condition. We just had it tuned and it sounds great. Especially when Jordan plays it! My lovely hymnal and primary children's song book from my Mother-in Law rest nicely on the top. It's nice to actually have music when we sing for family home evening. I'm laughing less during our singing times :) It fits very nicely in our formal room.
