Relaxing

Dad took advantage of the weekend and relaxed - he also cleaned the spa :)

Happy Father's Day

Father's Day was this past weekend and I just wanted to wish a belated Happy Father's Day to all my Dads out there: My Dad, my Dad-in-Law, all my brothers (includes in-laws) who are daddys, and my friends who are dads. Here is some of the fun that James had, along with a few shots of the rest of the fam from the weekend :) Love to all!

Name

My mother brought up a good point in her comments - I haven't named my car yet :) I thought about Spike and James thought of Steve but neither of those I'm a big fan of :) It's gotta be a boy's name though - any suggestions for me?

New Car

Well the search finally came to an end yesterday and made official today. James and I bought a car! It's a cute little sliver Kia Spectra. Now I'm able to drive to work and make it to my orientation that I'll have in Phoenix next week. Yay!

This is my air freshener

Hooray!

I have a job! Whoopie! I'll be working as a receptionist/coordinator at a local dentist office. I was able to get the job with the help of a guy in our ward that we met 2 weeks ago. I'm so excited! I start on Monday at 7:45 am (joy) and so that means that James and I will either be buying me a car or him a bus pass (heehee). J/k...it'll probably be the first :) I'm only 10 minutes away from my job whereas he's 40. They'll train me this coming week and then the next week I'll have to drive up to Phoenix to go through orientation - I'm not sure how long that will last but that'll be exciting. This makes me want to go through my speech books and look at the mouth anatomy now :) Weird I know...

Oh yea!

Happy 1 Month for us! Whoopie!

Just a random note

I was just lookin' at people's blogs today and I thought I'd do a wee update. James and I are getting settled in our new ward a little better after having two Sundays there. We stood up in Priesthood/Relief Society meeting yesterday and introduced ourselves. We've had a lot of people come up to us as well and they're all really nice. Last night there was a musical fireside put on by two sisters in the ward. It was so beautiful! We were able to go and meet people there too on a less formal level. We met a couple our ages that have been married for 4 years (sometimes it feels like we've been married that long too :) ) and James and I are both saying, "Hey, you're our age, you don't have children either, you're looking to live in the same places we are...yep, you're friends. Automatically - no questions asked - you = friend." :) We've been invited for dinner sometime and we offered to bring the games :)

I had a job interview with State Farm insurance that went okay. It's mostly for telemarketing which I'm not too thrilled about but it is a job and I'm willing to buck up and do it :) I need a job :) I've got another interview today with Spanish Trail Dental. I was able to get this job from Brother Swenson in our ward who is the actual dentist there. So that was nice. It seems pretty promising and it's not telemarketing. I'll be applying to be either the receptionist or a coordinator for the cleaners. I hope it goes well!

In the mean time I think I'll catch up on my journal (haven't written since last July - sad!) and I have laundry I can do. Love ya'll :) Catch ya later!
