September 26th - October 3rd took us to the Carribbean! James and I took a Royal Carribbean cruise to Haiti, Jamaica, Grand Caymans and Cozumel, Mexico. It was SO fun! Although the weather kind of pooped out on us and we had some excursions cancel and didn't get to see the Grand Caymans, we still had a lot of fun and had plenty to do. We went with my parents and my aunt and uncle (my mom's sister). We also made some friends a long the way and just had a fabulous vacation. This was a hard post to make because I wanted to share ALL my pictures! That would be hard though. I'm still putting them in order and I'm on #210! And I'm not even half way done! So, I picked a few of the highlights of the trip and I hope that you enjoy. We HIGHLY recommend a cruise for vacation if you haven't already :)
We're leaving Miami!
This was our ship - The Liberty of the Seas. It was jam-packed with fun, had 14 decks, 3 levels of dining plus 5 other restaurants and a cafe, about 1000 crew members, a little over 3000 passengers, 3 swimming pools, 6 hot tubs, an arcade, a kids place and a teens place, shopping, shopping, shopping, shuffle boards, mini golf, a rock climbing wall, a flowrider wave machine, basket ball courts, a casino, a theatre and an ice rink! Oh and spa and a gym!! More than 200 feet of the ship was above the water, 26 feet was below. Isn't that crazy!

Here we are doing the flow-rider. You could surf or boogie-board. We did both. It was awesome! I did a roll on the boogie-board! My dad could do a 360!
This is a grand view of Labadee, Haiti. "An extention of the ship" as it was called. Royal Carribbean sort of owns this island. All the stuff except the village artisans is Royal Carribbean. Isn't the water gorgeous! And the weather was great! We are up top getting ready to go down the zip-line. It goes right over the beach on the right of the picture..JPG)
This is me going down! It went so fast! You can see my Aunt on the left - her head is soooo tiny but that's her! James wasn't too far behind me at this point. This zip-line was over a half mile long! When you got to the very end, a spring loaded break system stopped you. It was a pretty harsh stop though. It made my legs kick out from under me and I actually ended up smashing my toe pretty hard in the spring. I could feel the shock up to my knee! I had to go to the boat's medical facilities to make sure my toe wasn't broken :) It...was...awesome!

And...this is my toe. It looked way way way worse in person. It still kind of pinches if I stand on my tip-toes. But it felt better after a few days of walking on it. I could still wear my high heels for the formal dinner night! :)
This is Tulum. There are Mayan ruins here. The friends that we met on the boat, the Andrea and Ryan, let us join them on their tour of the ruins. Andrea's dad actually has studied Archeology and has stayed the night here! Andrea, Ryan, and her parents and her sister were all on the cruise and they let us come with them and Andrea's dad gave us a personal tour with some Book of Mormon ties to go along with it. It was really really cool. I'm so glad that we met them and became friends. Such a small world huh :) My favorite thing that her dad said was that on one of the temples there were three slats on the top. One of them showed the symbol figure for the father god - the god of everything and everyone. The next slat showed the symbol of the creator god (in this case he connected him with Christ) and then the third slat was blank...I wonder why? :) It was so cool. We had a blast with them. They're great people!

This is our zoo! Onelio, our state room attendant let me keep all the animals he made from towels upon my request. Then, on our last day, he threw in a couple more! :) He was great! On the bed is a rabbit, an aligator, a scorpion, a turtle is on the couch, hanging is a bat and monkey, and then on the bench from left to right is a seal, a heart, love swans (window), a penguin, and an elephant. Pretty awesome huh! I learned how to make the turtle!
People on the ship are amazing. I loved this part - where they had the food show case. They made this entirely out of fruit and vegetables! Gorgeous! It's an owl with her baby.
My husband....he's so great. He actually listens to and does the crazy ideas and suggestions of his wife. There was a Sexy Legs competition on the boat on our last day. I convinced him to compete. He had to roll up his swim suit and do a funky dance (it was PG I promise) in front of 4 bikini-clad judges (I'm laughing as I write this!). I was dying. This was too fun! The MC of the event comes up to James and asks him where he's from and James answered Arizona. The MC looks surprised and said, "Isn't it hot down there?" James answered "Blasted hot." The MC looks James up and down and gesturing to his pasty whiteness said, "Well...what happened here?!" Everyone laughed! Anyways, my fabulous husband WON!! He won the category of "No Tan Man." He had the whitest legs on the ship! That's my hubby!!

On the left is Pablo and Evelyn, the best waiter/waitress any one could ask for. They were so friendly and funny. Evelyn was from Peru and Pablo was from the Phillipines. On the right we have Onelio, the creator of our towel zoo animals :) He was from Costa Rica.
We had such a great time! James and I just might do it again. We're thinking we might join my brother and sister-in-law on an Alaskan cruise in 3 1/2 years. Any one want to come with us?
