Well another Hall-oween has come and past. I spent the week before up at my Mom's house working on Christmas preparations and finishing up some presents that my mom was helping me with. Thanks Mom! While there, I missed our ward's Halloween Trunk or Treat so I went to my parents' and helped with theirs. I went with my Dad to help set up everything outside. All of a sudden, just before the party was to start and people were starting to arrive, it POURED! The storm seemed to come out of nowhere. Thankfully it didn't last long at all and the party was a success. I sadly, though, have no photographic evidence of the fun :( The only picture I have from spending that time with my parents is this one with Tebow :)
I missed my ward's party but James went so he represented us :) Sunday night, the eve before All Hallows Eve, we carved our pumpkins. Boomer really wanted to help. He got his own pumpkin too though he had ulterior motives for his as you can see! He just wanted to eat it... (he went
crazy over his pumpkin! He loved it! He would even growl and try to keep us from taking it away when we tried!)

This was our costumes this year. James wore his BYU football jersey, I made a BYU cheer shirt and Boomer wore his Sooner's jersey.

For Trick or Treating we sat out on our front porch on our lovely bench. We set up the portable DVD player and watched Hocus Pocus as the kids came up and got candy. We had SO many kids! We handed out one piece of candy to each person, and we'd bought 4 bags of candy (with like 80 pieces in each!) and we ran out after a little over an hour! We finally had to make a rule that if you were over the age of 10, you didn't get any candy. We had too many high-schoolers and older kids for my liking anyway. Some of them didn't speak English very well so when we said they couldn't get candy they just stared at us. I felt bad for being "
that neighbor" that seems mean and is picky how they hand out their candy but oh well. Trick or Treating is more for little kids. Other than that it was really fun. This is what our pumpkins looked like tonight when we threw them away
My witch shriveled up so much you wouldn't know what she was if you didn't know I'd done a witch. Boomer's pumpkin looks like an old person's lips (you know, the ones that wear dentures and what their lips look like when they take them out...) and James' still looks pretty good but you can see the bottom curling in a little.
We dressed up at work too for Halloween - well, everyone else did, I wasn't in the dress up loop I guess (I'm totally fine with that too :) ) They dressed me up by putting glitter on my eyelids and cheeks, I had an orange bow in my hair and a little pin on my shirt of a ghost with a pumpkin. It worked for me :) And it was very fitting that the power went out on us at work :) I thought it was pretty funny :)
